Who am I?
I was born and raised among the terraced vineyards of the Douro Valley, in Lamego — a place where, with great pride, we claim to have the best "bôla" and the finest traditional cured meats. Growing up in this small town shaped the determination that, years later, led me to choose journalism as my first great passion.
When I entered the University of Minho in 2023, I was convinced that journalism was the career I wanted to pursue. However, my academic journey taught me that we are shaped by many different interests. Along the way, I discovered new passions that broadened my perspective and enriched the way I see the world.
I also rediscovered a passion that had been part of my life for years: learning languages. English, in particular, has always held a special place in my life. Studying it over the years sparked a deep interest not only in the language itself, but also in the literature and cultures it has intoduced me to. Today, I see my background in Communication Studies not as a detour, but as a foundation that has prepared me for the academic path I truly want to follow.
